The Sound of Dignity
The Sound of Dignity benefit concert is held at Müpa Budapest and jointly organised by the György Cziffra Festival and the Hungarian Hospice Foundation. The proceeds are donated to the annual maintenance of a patient room at the Budapest Hospice House. At the start of the event, we can look forward to classical works and paraphrases performed by János Balázs, before three outstanding singers, Erika Miklósa, Judit Halász and Kati Kovács, take turns on the stage to perform - not for the first time - alongside Balázs, the founder of the Cziffra Festival.
First, Erika Miklósa will perform opera arias and melodies, before Judit Halász and Kati Kovács sing their most popular hits for the Müpa Budapest audience. For 32 years, the Hungarian Hospice Foundation has been providing dignified, end-of-life care on a charitable basis for terminal cancer patients to a consistently high standard, as well as offering emotional support to their families. The Sound of Dignity concerts have been a firm tradition for many years now, and are also part of the educational activities the foundation has carried out since its inception. Through their performances and ticket purchases respectively, the artists and audience assist the work of the Hungarian Hospice Foundation in caring for its patients.
Featuring:
piano - János Balázs
vocals - Erika Miklósa, Judit Halász, Kati Kovács
